My Christmas Cards

Hello Paper Crafters!
I told you I have been busy making Christmas cards, well here is the Christmas card that I designed and sent out. I know it is simple but when your sending out 50+ cards you don't want a card that takes you 15-20 minutes to make. I got these knocked out over the course of a few nights. I helped my mom make hers and that took some time, she isn't a card maker or scrapbooker, really she isn't very crafty at all. She had a lot of fun, mostly watching me but I really enjoyed the time with her. I think I overwhelmed her but I came up with an even simpler card for her with less layering for her to do. I picked up almost all of the items from Hobby Lobby, I had so much fun with he glitter! All of it. ;)
Well ladies I hope you enjoyed my card! If I'm not back on here before Christmas, I hope it is a merry one for you! If I don't get on here before Christmas I hope everyone has a beautiful Christmas filled with more love than you ever imagined!

Sorry I've been MIA

Hi Awesome Papercrafters!
I have been neglectful of my perty blog. I've visited it, I just haven't posted anything. I have a few reasons.
1. I could not find my cable to hook up to my camera so I could upload pretty pictures of my cool paper stuff!
2. I've been making Christmas cards, Christmas party paper stuffs and lot's of candy and stuff in the kitchen. My kids love it, I do too!
3. I'M PREGNANT! Yep, hubby, Austin, Cody and I are expecting a new addition to the family. We're still not out of the woods yet and we had a big scare but I'm giving it to God. Whatever happens he will get us through it! I'm thinking PINK!

Well I still have a few cards I need to make for neighbors and some gifts, plus I'm watching the UK v Austin Peay game. GO UK! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and Christmas if I do not post anything. I have some things to post so I should be soon!

This is my thank you to Jade, she was the most amazing swap partner to ever have! I am blessed. This is Cody, my 3 year old thanking her. He loves it so much! I will add more to this tomorrow because she just deserves it!

TWS for October

I participated in the mini swap album over at Trade Wind Scraps. I was paired up with Jade at Jaded Studios and wow!!! Is she ever uber talented? I am so serious, I got mine today and I was just blown away at my mini. It is gorgeous! I am so in love with it!!!! Thank you so much Jade!!! You are so freakin awesome, the goodies you sent along. I heart you! Thank you so much!!!!! I promise to take a pic of it and post on here for you all to drool over!!!!

Anyways, here is the mini I made for Jade, I hope she likes. :O) The one she made for me is so awesome I hope she likes mine as much as I like hers!!! Thank you again Jade!

Halloween Treat Boxes

Hello fellow paper and stamp lovers! Today I have something to share with you and I am so happy with them! I made treat boxes for my sons 3rd grade class today and they were such a hit! Even the boys wanted to know how to make them. :) I had little girls come up to me after they ate the candy and want me to fix them back so they could take them home. I'm happy mommy and crafter! The paper was awesome because I used one side of it for the boys (black skull side) and the purple side I used for the gilrs. Perfect! I got the idea here. It is Splitcoaststampers on youtube, Beate. It is an awesome video and I got to use my new Scor Pal! LOVE IT! :O) Anyways I hope you enjoy :O)

Peachy Keen Blog Candy

My Scor Pal is on the way!

How lucky am I? I joined YouTube in hopes of making some videos (still working on that one) and I came across a great youtube channel called Custom Crops. Each week they pick someone for a $20 off coupon on their site, the catch, all you have to do is leave a comment! How awesome! Plus their site has some really great stuff, I asked them about copics and they got some! Their customer service is incredible! I am definitely looking forward to ordering from them again.

So with that $20 off I got a Scor Pal! They have it for $39.95 with free shipping, my total: $19.95 on my Scor Pal! SCOR!!! I'm so silly. Anyways I have purchased some great spooky paper to make some treat holders for my sons 3rd grade class, they will love it and I just cannot wait to get my hands on it! I've been wanting one for sooo long!

I am a bad blogger!

It isn't just that I am a bad blogger. I just haven't really been feeling "crafty". My craft table has been a mess and I've been unmotivated to do anything about that. Well I finally picked it up and tossed a bunch of stuff. Here are a few things that I have been working on.

The card is for a Barnabas Pal at my church. She is a senior in college away at school and we send letters, cards and packages to them to support them being away at college. When I heard about this program I said "sign me up!" I can send them cards, I immediately thought, I want a girl so I can make my cards girly. :)

The mini album I made for my mom out of toilet paper rolls. I loved this! It was so much fun. She absolutely loved the album. She didn't believe me when I told her what it was made of. My boys thought it was so funny when they saw me making it but thought their Mamaw would love it.

Anyways I hope to be a better crafter and blogger. Wish me luck with that! lol

Yay! I bought a Cricut!

I bought a Cricut cutting system yesterday! HSN had it for $199 and it came with 4 cartridges! I cannot wait to get it, I've been wanting one for years! Finally, it is on the way. I am just so excited, hurry up UPS man! :o)

Hello everyone! I want to share with you some sites that I found online through the blogosphere. Wow! There are some really amazing blogs that support creativity, organization, being a mom, really it is endless!!! How awesome is blogging? There are a few that I would like to share with you. Not that any have asked me to or to join do I have to. I just think they are such a great idea and I want you all to know about them in case you don't already.

The Secret is in the Sauce is a blog recommendation and comment support group. You should definitely go take a look and you will find so many blogs that encourage a more creative life! The idea is to leave comments on other members blogs and in turn they will do the same, they only ask you to follow them, leave a comment and follow on twitter if you have one. =0) So simple! I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of great blogging women!

Home Sanctuary has the concept "easy tips, tricks and tasks to help make your home a great place to be! I highly recommend it because who doesn't need help making your home a sanctuary and it being easier, we can encourage one another and make it more fun as we go along!

A long overdue post =)

I know, I'm late in posting. I have a new full time position over at UK Chandler Hospital. I was in the pool which meant no benefits but now I am full time and doing a lot of orientation stuff so needless to say but I have been busy. I love it though just so you know, the floor I am on for the moment is a transitional unit floor we are however going in July to a progressive care unit. I am really excited!

Here is the card that I made for my beautiful mother in law. I love my mother in law so much. I look to her for guidance and consider her a dear friend. I am so lucky to have my mother in law. You hear so many horror stories about mother in laws and I am just so blessed that I love mine so much.

I love Jen! Seriously, I have been making cards for almost a year and blogging about my cards for about 9 or 10 months. Jen over at Pieces of Me has a really great RAK to participate in. Just some news and a card

Hi everyone! It isn't the cutest or my favorite but I like it. I made it so send to my Momma. She lives about 45 minutes away and I've been really busy with work stuff that I haven't been able to see her as often as I would like. I got hired on full time at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. I was at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in the pool, now I have a permanent home and floor! I have a mailbox and locker and will work with the same people. I am so excited. I'm busy though like I said, doing orientation and University stuff and learning about my new benefits. I'm so happy, so happy ya'll. =0)

More Simple Cards

I love the simplicity of these cards and I loved making them, each took less than 5 minutes to make. How awesome is that? That will be what I demonstrate tomorrow at the Hobby Hoopla, I am so excited! Let me know what you all think! Oh I am so in love with the SU craft paper! It is awesome and so versatile! The dazzling diamonds is pretty awesome too, it's all in my hair and I have to go to work looking like this. =0) They are going to wonder about me.

CASEd Crazy Stamp Girl

I love her tutorials and videos! She has what is called an Afternoon Quickie, satisfying your stamping urges in less than 10 minutes. It is awesome. Anyways, I watched her video today and loved it so much I CASED it. I am going to do my first Stampin UP demo at my sons school. They are having a Hobby Hoopla and this is what I am going to demo. I figure the heat and stick and dazzling diamonds will go over great! And the card was like super easy! I won't do a bow, I think I'm just going to tye it in a knot. I'm also in the process of making something to raffle off so people will leave me their information to follow up with them. I was at work last night just trying to stay awake and I read our local newspaper. I read an article about two local women who have a blog and are "upcycling", it is basically taking something that is used and done with and making another use for it by altering it. One of the ideas they have is turning an old phone book into a pen organizer. I had a ding ding ding moment, I am new to crafting and want to spend my money on crafts not the organization part of it. I desperately need to organize my things and this looks like a super easy and cheap way to do it!! Please check their blog out over here at Chica and Jo .They are in Lexington, KY and have uses for old bridesmaid dresses, turning an old leotard into a dance bag, oh and ladies using your Cricut to customize a lampshade!! My Coder Bug is 3!

I can hardly believe it but 3 years ago today I had my second son. I was so excited! His big brother Austin was 4 and he couldn't have been any happier either. His dad and I stared at how amazingly beautiful he was, oh and how much hair he had. He was perfect!

I cannot believe that in the Fall he will begin preschool. Wow! Where has the time gone? My children are growing up right in front of me. I am so very lucky and privileged to have them, I am a very blessed Mommy!

Tempting Turquoise Thank you

This is a thank you card that I made for a very special person. I really love the colors and how it turned out. I sure hope that they enjoy it! I am entering it into the Cute Card Thursday challenge. This is my first challenge that I am participating in, I'm so excited. I cannot believe this is my first challenge. Seriously Stephie. =0) I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set from Stampin UP, I seriously adore it. It is so versatile, I cannot wait to use it some more.

How cute is my new signature? I love it! Michelle from Laycock Designs did it for me. I absolutely love it!!! I'm going to get her to do my blog when I get some extra cash but in the mean time I love my siggy and watermark, now if I can just figure out how to use them! =0)

A card for my son who is turning 3

I'm sharing even though I'm not too terribly happy with how it turned out. I have no childlike whimsical DP so I layered card stock. =0) I used lots of primary colors that a child would enjoy. He is turning 3 and I really hope he likes it! It is for my son Cody who loves Elmo, I actually bought this stamp for him months ago so he could stamp with Mommy when I did. He loves it! I may go to a hobby store tomorrow and pick up some really cute DP, if so I'll post another card. Anyways I hope you enjoy!
