A Healthier Me

A few year's ago I took some advice from Jimmy Buffett and Martina McBride, you see I heard the song Trip Around the Sun that they did together. In the song it sings,

"Yes, I'll make a resolution
That I'll never make another one
Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun
Just enjoy this ride ...
Until it's done"

So, I hadn't made a New Year's resolution since 02/03 or somewhere in that time frame. I thought it was a splendid idea at the time to not make any more resolutions that I would not accomplish. The thing is I have to lose some weight. My chubby jeans are getting tight. I look at my skinny or well I'll be honest, my "healthy" jeans, they look skinny to me now! I am not happy with where I am, SO!!! I went to a local gym here in town and I am going to lose my extra weight and get healthier. Pray for me to be loyal to working out being healthier, I sure do need it.

miss you card for my Aunt

I made this card last night for my Aunt. She is lonely and really interested in what I do so I thought that she'd really enjoy a hand stamped card from me. It's much darker than I'm used to but I kind of like it. I'm getting better, I just can't wait to have everyone oogling over my creations like I do. I want blog stalkers! Haha, lol.

Cute Christmas Poem

I found this and wanted to share.


Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!"

Stamping Bella's for my preggy friend Stacie

A friend of mine Stacie, is expecting her first child. She waited until she was 12 weeks to tell anyone so I am just now making it. I have known her since she was in 8th grade and I was in 10th. We played basketball together and I had a huge crush on her older brother, he and I graduated together. We've all kept in touch and I wanted to make her a card. I ordered this Bella especially for her. On the inside it says "You Grow Girl" also from Stamping Bella. I really hope she likes. The embossing is from my secret sister. She sent them to me! She rocks, I have to get a cuttlebug, I only asked for that and a sewing machine this year so hopefully I do.

We got a new puppy!

I know it! I said she was going to be a Christmas present, well she is. She's just early. I could not wait any longer to get her. I was like a child and I couldn't wait to give her to Austin and Cody so we went and got her on Saturday. She is 9 weeks on Sunday. She is a precious little doll! We are so happy to have her in our family. I did explain to Austin that she is a Christmas present but we wanted to have her the whole Christmas holiday. He told me he loved her and she was the greatest present ever! I am so happy and we just love her to pieces!!! Isn't she a doll?

I just cannot believe it! I am in total shock! I am so excited that I won blog candy from MARIA over at Stampin Inspirations by Maria. She has the cutest blog, she's a total stamping Goddess and has the most adorable things on her blog. She also has really amazing video tutorials! Please check them out on her site. She is pretty well known in the stamping and blogging world so she really needs no explanation but I am just so excited that I won! =0) I am one lucky woman and I sure do know it. Shh! This is what my boy's are getting for Christmas this year!

I normally don't share too much about family stuff but I had to share this. Two weeks ago Troy and I (along w/ our 2 year old Cody {he already forgot about her I'm sure}) took a 1 hour drive south to Livingston, KY. We met with a breeder who moved here from California to retire. They have been breeding Golden Retriever's and actually have Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma on the premises. They had the Great Grandmother to our puppy until about a month ago. We are super excited, we don't have a dog yet and our new puppy will be a welcome addition. We've already named her Honey Bear because of her color and Bear because she is from the mountains and there certainly are Bears in the mountains right? Austin will be so excited! He's been telling me for months about how good he will take care of a puppy, he'll walk her and feed her and be good to a new puppy. Here is Honey Bear, she was 8 weeks in the pic and a complete doll! Oh the handsome man, he's my husband.

Just bought some Bella's!

I am super uber excited! I just went on the Stamping Bella website and picked up a few Bella's! I haven't stamped or made a card in over a month and I have been a terrible SBS #22 sister. I am so new to it that I just have so few supplies and stamps so too often I don't participate. I haven't bought anything in so long either, so today it felt nice. I bought BillboardaBella, a preggy Belly, Sisterhood Bella, and some sentiments. I can't wait to get them in my hands and make some great stuff!
