A few year's ago I took some advice from Jimmy Buffett and Martina McBride, you see I heard the song Trip Around the Sun that they did together. In the song it sings,
"Yes, I'll make a resolution
That I'll never make another one
Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun
Just enjoy this ride ...
Until it's done"
So, I hadn't made a New Year's resolution since 02/03 or somewhere in that time frame. I thought it was a splendid idea at the time to not make any more resolutions that I would not accomplish. The thing is I have to lose some weight. My chubby jeans are getting tight. I look at my skinny or well I'll be honest, my "healthy" jeans, they look skinny to me now! I am not happy with where I am, SO!!! I went to a local gym here in town and I am going to lose my extra weight and get healthier. Pray for me to be loyal to working out being healthier, I sure do need it.
Hugs to you all and a Happy and Beautiful 2009 to Ya!~

Stephie...
Good luck! You can do it! I wish i could! hahaa No gym here and no gumption! I have hashimotos disease and fibromyalgia.. which means my body is attacking my thyroid thinking its not part of my body...and so i cannot lose weight..Hate it. To top it off..i have fibromyalgia, and i hurt badly all over my body..BUT i have gone on a "diet" of sorts to eleminate glutten, so now grains of any kind..flour, rice...gone..and no dairy! But it does seem to help with the pain going away!
So I am cheering you on girl! You can do it! Renee'
Way to go for taking the first step and signing up in gym. You can do it! I've been taking a break the past few months and need to get back in shape too, otherwise I'll need new jeans too. My suggestion is take classes or go with friends, I find classes to be more fun so I stick with them more. Also, check out Self.com or fitness magazine websites, I don't know if they still do it, but I know Self used to have a pretty good calorie counting software and I found that helped me a lot to just keep my snacking and portions in check. Most imprtant, have fun!
Happy New Year wishes to you and your family Stephenie.
Good luck with your New Year resolutions. I know that you can do it girl! I reaaly need to focus on my weight loss also. It makes me sick that I have gone from a size 10 to 14 in a matter of 3 years. I've set a goal for myself also and hopefully I will get into a sz. 12 by Easter.
Good luck to the both of us!
hugs
Risa:)
p.s. Your puppy is adorable!
Hi Sweets... I gave up on resolutions as well, they are too hard to accomplish, and why make them if you can't reach them? Hahaha... let's just be realistic, right? Live life to it's fullest, and as long as you know that you are happy deep inside, your beauty shines through your outer skin, and it clearly shows how sweet and thoughtful you are.
One of my resolutions years ago was to give up my Pepsi drinking... come on, who am I kidding? That's like asking me to give up my stamping? And you know that ain't going to happen!! LOL!!!!
Anyways, hang in there, and keep on sharing your love n' aloha, because that always make me smile....
As for you MIL coming to Hawaii... can you squeeze into her luggage?? LOL!!!! Does she live near you? Where in Hawaii is she going to, and why? So many questions, huh?! Ok... fill me in...
Luv Ya Lots,
Jen
Good luck, Steph! I need to make the same non-resolution to be healthier, which means actually using my treadmill! Good luck to us both!!! ;-)
Oh, I see my "verification word" below is "defect"! How funny!!!
Good luck on your weight loss goals, Stephenie. I need to lose weight too. My family from Hawaii visited us during the holidays and they were "shocked" to see how much weight I've gained. My aunt who isn't shy about what she thinks, flatly stated that I "got big". LOL!! I didn't feel bad because I knew it was coming!
My resolutions are simple this year. I decided that if I make them non-specific, I can work with them. My primary resolution is to be happy!
